Guild Wars Factions Questions and Answers
Guild Wars Factions Gameplay Frequently Asked Questions
Presented below are a number of questions and answers pertaining to Guild Wars Gameplay.
Who came first, the Kurzick or the Luxon?
The Kurzick claim to have been inhabitants for centuries whereas the Luxons arrived from overseas. At least, this is how we at RPG Stars view the two factions at this time.

What do the Luxon and Kurzick Factions have to do with how I play the second chapter of Guild Wars?
Easy, you choose a faction, and then you complete missions, quests, and other tasks to obtain faction points. Those faction points curry favor from your chosen Faction and provide additional avenues to obtain faction.

How does an Alliance factor into Factions Game Play?
An Aliance is created when one guild chooses to join another guild to support one Faction over another . You can expect that your unchosen Faction will declare your guild an enemy, and the aliances of your opposing Faction will meet you in battle.

I noticed that some of the outposts and towns are highlighted in red while others are highlighted in blue, what's that all about?
Blue map markers are used to show towns controlled by the Kurzick faction and red markers show towns controlled by the Luxon faction. Through Alliance Battles, these towns and outposts change hands.

How do Alliances gain control of towns?
Alliances earn Faction Points through assorted forms of battle. These points are tallied to determine which Alliance has control of which town, and ultimately, where the line is drawn between each Faction.

What happens when a guild controls a town?
In Guild Wars Factions, the idea of both guilds and faction are integral to the gameplay. If you are a member of a Guild that has control of a town, your members can expect to have all of the NPC's for that town or outpost to be at your disposal. Your guild will also have control over the resurrection shrine for that town or outpost.

Which new professions are available to those who purchase Guild Wars Factions?
Guild Wars Factions presents both the Assassin and Ritualist professions to players. You can learn more about these new professions through their respective skills pages:

Assassin Skills | Ritualist Skills

What are faction rewards?
You can gain faction with the Kurzicks and the Luxons. You can redeem this faction in different ways.

-You can choose to reward yourself with some PvP items, or like in the Faction Preview Event, some Amber.

-You can also give your faction to a particular Guild Alliance, improving its standing against the others.

Please note, however, redeeming factions for rewards will make you lose faction with the opposing side. eg: Should you redeem rewards from the Kurzicks, you will loose faction with the Luxons.

Where can I see how much faction I have with either Faction (Kurzicks and Luxons)?
Two new bars are added to tab showing faction earned with Balthazaar. These bars show the faction that you have earned with both Kurzicks and Luxons. They are expressed in the form 999/999 as the faction earned Vs the faction redeemed.

With all these new skills and two new professions being added through Guild Wars Factions, won't the game be horribly unbalanced?
The skills and professions introduced in the second chapter have been done so by the same people that made Guild Wars:Prophecies a balanced game. It has been made sure that these new skill that a person has or may not have will not lead to an unfair advantage or disadvantage as the case may be. They will simply open up new and exciting strategic options to work with. Even so, any imbalances found, shall of course be dealt with quickly as has been done in the past with the first chapter.
