1. What is Guild Wars?
Guild Wars is a massively multiplayer role playing game developed by ArenaNet and Published by NC Soft. Guild Wars melds the persistent features of traditional MMORPG's with the instanced features of many current RPG and FPS styled games.
Due to the competitive nature of Guild Wars, the term CORPG was coined to describe the game (competitive online role playing game). While Guildwars contains many areas to explore, and plenty of cooperative gaming areas, the strength of the game lies in it's Guild Features.

cost?
There is no set price for the game as yet, check back for more information as the game gets closer to release. It should be noted, though, that many large online retailers in North America offer Guild Wars for pre-order at a cost of $49.99 usd.

4. Are there any additional costs?
ArenaNet have officially stated that Guild Wars will not require a monthly fee regardless of your country of origin. Rather, ArenaNet will offer Guild Wars expansions approximately every 4 to 6 months.

6. When will the Beta Test begin?
The Guild Wars Beta is already underway, and the game is quite close to release. If you have an interest to join the beta, there are a number of ways:
- Pre Order Guild Wars and recieve a special pass to the Beta Weekend Events
- Enter any official contests. Many fansites currently hold monthly contests for special BWE codes
- Join a Guild either already in the Beta, or seeking referral into the beta

7. Will Guild Wars have a single player campaign?
Guild Wars is meant to be played in an online environment. Having said that, provisions have been made for those who would rather play alone and online. You cannot play offline.

8. How much space does the game take when the contente is streamed
Guild Wars streams content to your computer. As a result, the amount of actual data space is determined by the number of environments your character has visited. While the installer itself is only around 64Kb, the amount of final hard drive space could be over 500 Mb.

9. Does Guild Wars support operation in a window?
Yes. You can switch between full screen and windowed mode.

12. I have an NVidia Geforce FX card. Why don't some terrain features show up on my computer?
There is a known issue with NVidia GeForce FX vide cards (GPUs) and driver version 61.77 when the user has changed [Image Settings] to [High performance]. Some of the problems include missing terrain. The solution is to change your video settings to [High quality]. To do this, follow these instructions:
On Windows XP:
Open Display Properties control panel.
Click Settings tab
Click Advanced button
Click GeForce [Version] tab
Select Performance and Quality Settings in left window
In the Global Driver Settings window select Image Settings
Move the slider to the right to "High quality"
