The Monk Defined

The Monk Profession is often misunderstood. That is, many believe the Monk to be merely a healing profession for those who travel through the realms of Tyria, Kryta, or Cantha. Rather, Monks possess many varying skills which provide opportunities to both heal and harm.

On the battlefield, many Monks choose to play the role of team healer. Where other professions on the team may focus directly toward the destruction of the opposing side, the Monk is often the member far back from the front maintaining the spells and skills to keep everyone else alive.

Against traditional monsters, many Monks utilize the skills of a secondary profession or rent Henchmen to assist where needed. However, it is not wise to underestimate the power of a smiting Monk. Dead comes quick to those who desire.
